Youth Committee Program Summary 2010-2011
Paul H. Reigner Good Citizen Award Presented By Stichter Lodge: Stichter Lodge #254 F&AM will present a $50.oo U.S. Savings Bond to a fifth grade student from each of ten local public elementary schools. This student will be recognized as good citizen in their home, school, and community. The student recognized as a good citizen will be chosen through the recommendations of a teacher, principal and/or D.A.R.E. Officer. Evaluation standards will be based on Academic Performance (high achievement or significant improvement), Good Citizenship (no disciplinary issues, treats others fairly, involvement in extracurricular activities), and Community Service (service to others). This program will be funded from the Stichter Lodge Charity Fund.
LifeSkills / LifeChangers Conferences: Stichter Lodge #254 F&AM will present two scholarships to attend the PA Masonic LifeSkills Conference (ages 12-16) and/or the PA Masonic LifeChangers Conference (ages 17-21), hosted by the PA Masonic Youth Foundation. This program will be funded from the Stichter Lodge General Fund.
Penrose L. Keller Scholarship Presented by Stichter Lodge: Stichter Lodge #254 F&AM will award a continuing education scholarship to a member in good standing, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or legal dependent of a member in good standing (or was in good standing at the time of death) of Stichter Lodge. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning for an Associate, Baccalaureate, Technical, or Vocational Degree. The amount awarded will be $1,000.oo per year for up to four consecutive years, while maintaining at least a 2.5 G.P.A. This program will be funded from the Stichter Lodge Charity Fund.
